Rice Village Family-Room Addition
Addition · Rice Village, Houston · 2024
A modest rear addition that gave a 1940s cottage a real family room without leaving the block the owners already loved.
Rice Village cottages live on streets of ambitious remodels. This one had a sound structure and a living room that could not host homework and company at once. The owners wanted more room without leaving the block.
We treated the work as a home addition in Houston: structure, roof tie-in, drainage, and a finish story that feels like the original house grew up. Paint pulled from the interior oak we knew they wanted later.
